Tao Garden Dec. 26th. through Jan.15th 2011 Daily schedule
Taoist Tai Chi & Sword& Morning Chi Practices
WEEK 1: Dec. 26 2010. - Jan. 01 2011. Tai chi cultivation in 24 movements |
The 24 form is known as the «international» style of Tai chi, developed for the purpose of competition. It includes the basics of Tai chi and is very good for beginners as well as advanced practitioners. With this rather simple form, the understanding of the inner workings of Tai chi can easily be developed. Master Li emphasizes the internal practice in terms of the «feeling» being generated by this Tai chi style. The «feeling» can be referred back to the interconnectedness of body, mind and the specific motion of chi associated with this Tai chi form.

WEEK 2: Jan. 02.2011 - Jan. 08. 2011 Tai Chi cultivation in 48 movements |
A different Tai chi form which combines four styles; Chen, Yang, Wu and Sun. With this form the «best» of the above styles comes together in a sense that it furthers the internal practice and the understanding of the essence of Tai chi. This form is beautiful and rather simple, and it is good for beginners as well as for advanced students who wish to develop the Tai chi "feeling" more.

WEEK 3: Jan. 09. - 15. Wudang Style Tai Chi |
This form originated at the Taoist temples, hence it is not a popular style, rather, it is regarded as a sacred practice. Wudang Tai chi is also a healing form which involves a cultivation of the Tao. The Tai chi "feeling" generated is different; with this form, specific chi- or, energy-channels of the "body-mind" are being charged that are different from those meridians that are normally activated by other Tai chi styles.
